How a typical week runs

STEP 1

Assign a prompt

Pick from 29 Part 1 topics, 30 Part 2 cue cards, or 30 Part 3 discussions — or write your own. Two clicks and the whole class has it, with exam-style instructions built in.

STEP 2

Student records

Students sign in to a simple portal and record on any phone or laptop — one take, like the exam. Transcript is captured automatically at upload.

STEP 3

AI drafts a band

Per-dimension feedback with evidence quotes from the transcript. Detects common pitfalls. You see the draft instantly.

STEP 4

You publish what you approve

Edit any score or comment — you can hear what the AI can't, so Pronunciation is yours to confirm by ear. Publish to the student and track band progress over time.

What you get

A 9-band Speaking rubric

Independently authored by Augmind Studio, modeled on the 4-dimension format you already teach: Fluency & Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range & Accuracy, Pronunciation. Half-band granularity.

89+ ready-to-use prompts

Part 1 topics (hometown, hobbies, work), Part 2 cue cards (memorable trip, a leader, a useful object), Part 3 discussions (technology, education, society). Add your own anytime.

Examiner-style follow-ups on Part 3

Assign a Part 3 discussion and — on by default — the AI asks one probing follow-up in examiner voice, built from what the student actually said. The student answers in a second take, and the band draft covers the full exchange, not just the prepared answer.

Adult cohorts, zero parent overhead

IELTS classes run adult-first: assignment and feedback emails go straight to the student — no guardian CC — and every student gets a bookmarkable progress page showing band movement week over week.

Practice that doesn't add grading

After your feedback publishes, students can re-run the same prompt against the AI up to ten times a day — instant scores they can compare with their graded take. None of it lands in your grading queue.

Multi-coach teams

Invite your teaching team. Assign primary + secondary coaches per class. Everyone can grade; only admins and lead coaches manage assignments.

Full audio + transcript

Every recording stored 90 days. Full transcript via Whisper. Evidence quotes in feedback are linkable back to the original speech.

Privacy that holds up

No data used for AI training. For under-18 students your organization attests parent consent once per class; adult cohorts skip the parent layer entirely. Coach controls when feedback publishes.

Common questions

Are you affiliated with IELTS?

No. Augmind Studio is independent. Our rubric is our own — modeled on the publicly-known 9-band Speaking format that IELTS teaching teams recognize, but written in Augmind Studio's own words. See the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.

What about Writing?

Speaking is what's live today. Writing (Task 1 and Task 2) is on the roadmap — your account will pick it up automatically when it lands.

How accurate is the AI band scoring?

The AI gives a draft. You edit. We don't replace your judgment — we shorten the path from recording to feedback. Coaches decide what to keep, revise, and publish.

How is Pronunciation scored?

Honestly: the AI reads a verbatim transcript plus measured delivery data (pace, fillers, pauses) — it doesn't hear phonetics. Its Pronunciation band is a conservative draft from those signals, labeled as such, and it asks you to confirm by ear from the recording. The other three dimensions are graded from the full transcript with quoted evidence.

What if my students are under 18?

Your organization attests once per class that it has parent consent on file — no per-parent paperwork through us. Students sign in to their own accounts, and every published feedback includes a no-login progress link the family can bookmark. For adult cohorts, everything goes straight to the student.

Can I bring my own rubric?

On the roadmap. Today you use the included Speaking rubric. If you have a house version (some schools do), tell us — we can prioritize coach-uploaded rubrics.

What happens when the 21-day trial ends?

Your workspace goes read-only: everything you and your cohort made stays viewable, nothing is deleted (recordings follow the normal 90-day retention window), and nothing auto-charges — we never took a card. Continuing is flat per-student pricing billed to the program, and early programs get pilot pricing in exchange for feedback. Reply to any email from us or write hi@augmindstudio.com: you'll get the number, and you decide. No sales calls unless you ask for one.
